Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our moving services

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE MOVING SERVICE?

Our hourly rate includes everything you need for a basic move: 2 or 3 movers with a truck, all essential moving supplies like blankets, shrink wrap, and tape for large furniture, dollies, hand trucks, and basic tools. We also protect your floors and stairs during the process. You’ll get 3–4 free wardrobe boxes and 10 reusable yellow Joy Boxes—both need to be returned after the move.

DO YOU HELP WITH ASSEMBLY/DISASSEMBLY?

Yes! Our team brings tools for basic furniture disassembly and reassembly. While we can assist with simple appliance hookups like washers or dryers, we don’t offer professional installation and aren’t responsible for issues like water leakage. Please make sure water lines are shut off before disconnecting anything.

HOW BIG ARE YOUR TRUCKS?

We offer trucks in three sizes - 18-foot, 22-foot, and 24-foot - to cater to your diverse moving requirements. We'll assign the most suitable vehicle based on your specific moving needs.

DO YOU PROVIDE COI (CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE)?

We can provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) that includes $1 million in general liability coverage as well as worker’s compensation. If you need to add the name of your Homeowners' Association (HOA) to the certificate, please let us know in advance.

WHAT IF SOMETHING IS DAMAGED?

Our moving crew members are highly experienced, so the likelihood of items being damaged is very minimal. However, in the rare event that something does get damaged, you can communicate directly with the crew on-site to address the issue right away. Alternatively, you can send us pictures of the damage. We have insurance coverage, and we'll handle the after-sales service promptly to ensure your complete satisfaction.

DO YOU HAVE WARDROBE BOXES?

Yes. You can use 3–4 wardrobe boxes (24*20*45inch) free of charge on moving day. After moving, movers need to collect them back.

CAN YOU MOVE PLANTS?

We can move plants and pots but please keep in mind that they are very fragile and easy to break, and hard to stabilize in our truck, we are not responsible for any sorts of breakage or damages on moving these items.

SHOULD I EMPTY DRAWERS?

You can leave light items in the drawers if you'd like—it's generally fine to keep those in place. However, please make sure to empty out any heavy items, as they could cause damage during the move, either to the furniture itself or to other belongings. Taking this precaution will help ensure a smoother and safer moving process.

WHAT TIME CAN YOU START?

We can start as early as 8:00–8:30 AM. We also offer afternoon windows (e.g., 1–3 PM or 2–4 PM). Morning moves are punctual, afternoon jobs can be delayed depending on the earlier schedule. Our movers will call before they arrive.

DO I NEED TO PROVIDE PACKING MATERIALS?

We bring what’s needed for large items (tape, blankets, shrink wrap). We also provide wardrobe boxes and plastic transfer boxes for free use. For paper boxes and wrapping paper, we need extra charge, please let us know if you need them.

DO YOU MOVE ANY HEAVY ITEMS?

Yes. For items over 200 lbs—like refrigerators or gym equipment—there may be an extra charge and we may send 3 movers. Please send us photos and details for an accurate quote.

DO YOU MOVE TO STORAGE?

Absolutely. Whether you're moving from a home or business, we can move your items to a storage unit with the same care as any regular move.

CAN I GET JOY BOXES IN ADVANCE?

Joy Boxes are part of our truck setup and are meant for moving-day use only. They must be returned after unloading.

ARE YOU LICENSED AND INSURED?

Yes. We are fully licensed and insured for your peace of mind.

HOW DO YOU CALCULATE TIME?

We record start time when we arrive at your residence, and we stop charging when we finish the whole job at the unloading location ( finish unloading, reassembling of furniture etc)

HOW EARLY SHOULD I BOOK?

The earlier the better—especially during peak season. A week’s notice is usually enough, but last-minute spots may be available.

DO YOU OFFER FURNITURE RECYCLING OR HAUL-AWAY?

We do offer furniture recycling or haul-away services. If you'd like us to handle it, you can send us photos of the furniture you need to dispose of, and we'll provide you with a quote based on that. Alternatively, if you prefer to locate a recycling station on your own, we can still assist by transporting the furniture there for you. In that case, our charges will be based on the time spent for the service. The recycling fee, if any, will be settled directly between you and the recycling station.

HOW LONG WILL MY MOVE TAKE?

We charge by time, so it's tough to give a precise move duration. We'll stop timing once all items are unloaded. Factors like item quantity, packaging needs, parking access, walking distance, elevator/stairs, wait times, transport distance, and packing/unpacking or assembly/disassembly time all play a role. Just let us know your moving details, and we'll give you a rough estimate.

DO YOU CHARGE EXTRA FOR STAIRS?

There's no extra charge for moving regular furniture up or down stairs. However, if you have special items or any heavy objects weighing over 200lbs, please let us know in advance. Just send us photos, and we'll assess whether there'll be any additional fees based on what we see.

DO YOU PROVIDE FLOOR PROTECTION?

Yes, we do provide floor protection! We'll use floor runners to safeguard your floors during the move, ensuring they stay scratch-free and undamaged.

IS THERE A MINIMUM HOUR REQUIREMENT?

Yes, we do have a minimum hour requirement. For our moving services, there's a 2-hour minimum charge to ensure efficient scheduling and resource allocation.

CAN I HAVE MULTIPLE STOPS DURING MY MOVE?

Yes, absolutely! We charge by the hour, so adding one or two stops along the way won’t incur any extra fees—just the time it takes to complete the job. Let us know the details in advance so we can plan the route accordingly.

WHAT IS AN EMPTY TRUCK FEE?

The empty truck fee is a one-time charge that covers the travel time for our truck to get from our station in Renton to your starting location, and then back from your final destination to our station. It helps cover the cost of getting our team and truck to and from your move.
